Small, elegant and entirely exceptional: with just four rooms and two suites (planned for 2021) our #emcasa GUESTHOUSE is an intimate and individual hideaway for the discerning.
Start the day with a dip in the large pool in front of your private terrace if you like. If you don’t... stay in bed! Our à la carte breakfast is served until noon. Take it in the lounge or in the outdoor salon. For that all-important first espresso of the day we’ve even placed a coffee machine in your room...
Sea, sky, sand & city
#emcasa GUESTHOUSE is just under an hour’s drive from Lisbon and just a few hundred meters from the sea where you can unpack your emcasa beach bag on some of Portugal’s most beautiful beaches.
Sea, sand and sun not your idea of fun? No problem, the region around Lourinhã also offers historic towns, stately wineries, miles of footpaths, cycling trails and a dinosaur park (!).
Jump into your hire car or grab one of emcasa’s cross-bikes and set off for Portugal’s wild and wonderful west!
Maybe hanging out by the pool is all you want?
Mas claro, go ahead...
What might a relaxed day at #emcasa GUESTHOUSE look like?
Our breakfasts feature Portuguese cheese, Spanish ham, Greek yoghurt, Italian coffee as well as fresh fruit from the market, eggs from an organic farm and the world's best pasteís de nata from the village bakery. Did we mention breakfast is served until noon?
Afterwards, let us serve you drinks and snacks by the pool or in the lounge where a fireplace, cosy sofas, chilled music, a small library and a huge wooden table invite you to feast, make plans, play games... This is also where you’ll find the honesty bar – filled to the brim with water, wine and many other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Bar flies and bar-bees: help yourselves!
When the sun eventually dips below the ocean’s horizon, it’s time to light the candles and sip a cocktail by the pool.
Our "Porto Tónicos" are legendary. And afterwards a delicious dinner.
We can direct you to the best seafood restaurants, tabernas and beach bars in the area:
